Smoothie maker is a big improvement over a spider catcher. (I don't catch spiders; I smash them.) Glad he was attentive. I agree, what's important is that they show they cared to make an effort, not what the gift is. Time does make things better. But sometimes I fear that too much time will make us forget, and we might start making the same mistakes all over again.
