W asked me if I ever considered sending the kids to Salem Luther School, she heard they have a great school at a reasonable price, I said no I haven't because we are Catholic!!!!!
She then began to rant and rave(fume/tirade/ramble/rage) about the Catholic church how she has supported them all these years, how she has stood up for the church, how they have done nothing for her, how they are always asking for money and on and on and on.
I hate for your W to find out but the Lutheran churches I went to for 30 years or so are probably just as bad about asking for money a lot too! In fact, you know Luther was a Catholic monk originally so I think it is not that different. Probably it depends on the individual church and how much they need money or the pastor/priest and not really whether Catholic or Lutheran or whatever.
Jeff, she does sound a little crazy, but my H does too sometimes. It's hard to imagine they will ever get normal again, but I guess it would be possible, but yeah, after the divorce I won't be waiting anymore either. Karen
