Some day, sooner or later, your H is going to finally realize how foolish he has been and what he has let slip away. And he will realize he let the time pass too long and that it is too late -- and he will be in for a whole lot of remorse.

Of course you can't be H's best friend and it show how much he doesn't get it to request such a thing. Your job now is to do whatever it takes to find a happy life for you and your girls.
NC is so right, H will have regrets. Not that that will change a thing. Sometimes it's just too little too late. When I hear those words now I get that momentary punch to the stomach, followed by some sadness, but it's soon followed by the memory of how I did everything to keep us from being here and how it fell on deaf ears. Now, I just don't have it in me to feel anything.
This is the hardest part in our journey. After having read what you written I have no doubt that you will soar. Did you have any idea that you had the strength inside to endure all you have? That is what will get you through this as well and bring you full circle to having the life you deserve.
