I immediately thought of Fish when I saw the title to this thread. The difference (big difference) between Fish and Sawks is that Fish had a daughter (can't remember, I think she was 6 or 7). He decided to stop contact with his daughter until the divorce was complete in order not to "hurt her" anymore. And the new and improved girlfriend kindly offered to "help him" repair his relationship with his daughter later on. That sickened me to no end.
I don't want to see Sawks give up, but only he knows how much he can take, and it's his decision. Luckily there are no children caught in the middle of this. He only has himself and his wife to think about, and it seems like she's made up her mind. (although I'm throughly convinced that she is confused).

And, please, take your relationship slow. I know it makes it easier to go through the divorce, but really you need time to be alone. This new girl, if she's worth it, will understand and give you that time.
