A better response would be "I was hoping to improve my game for our golf outing next weekend"
When he said, "Who are you trying to get better for... Coworker?" I said, "no, you". "I want you to be proud of me."
I did manage to get that in before my hurt got the better of me.
We had such a good weekend, why start the week off like this?
I believe that your comments are accurate. It's just that fidelity has always been very important to me and an old counselor once told me that the S will accuse you of what they are themselves guilty of.
After the good weekend it totally took me by surprise.
