nlt:

I found this on the Charlyne site about a spouse remarrying and the LBS said they no longer knew what to pray any longer. Here is the response:

A remarriage is a difficult circumstance. I know this from personal experience. I remember something Bob wrote one time in one of his devotionals that has really helped me. "Your spouse is trying to connect their heart, emotions, feelings and soul to someone else's! They can never do it, because their heart made a covenant, a vow with you and God to be your spouse forever! Their heart will always be calling them home by the Holy Spirit." Maybe, jut maybe, that Holy Spirit conviction is working in your spouse's heart - especially at this time of the year.

Now is the time to really get into God's Word and pray for your spouse. Now is the time to call on God's mighty power. Let Him be your Great Physician and Wonderful Counselor. Continue to pray for the one you love - it can make all the difference.

"And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:15016.

Pray that your spouse will obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. Pray that God will touch and change your his heart as He has touched and changed yours.
