Thanks for your condolences friends!

I worked very hard yesterday to empty all the bedrooms and closets. Got up early this morning to finish taking things out of my room (I like to sleep in comfort) and wash the bedding. Then I waited. And waited. Guess what? Carpet guys did not show! I called. Oh, they can come while I'm not there - just leave a key. One minute the manager is telling me how unreliable they are and the next minute she says how much she trusts them. Well I don't!

So I got in the car with the cats and came home. Just like that. I told her they had better be there Fri morning - now I have to go back Thurs instead of Fri. About my only chance of putting it all back together.

Ashley was pretty down when I got here (though she did have the house spotless). She was lying on the couch. Seems she dumped boyfriend. Had tried to take a break with him last week but he didn't want it. This time he doesn't want to break up. She just needs to end it. He is so depressed, not even eating (this is how he always is). She can't deal with it anymore. Now she is over there again as he is crying and trying to beg and plead. She was not happy about going but hates to see him hurting. I feel bad for her.

She wanted to go out with me for dinner so we went to Red Lobster and had the Ultimate Feast. And boy was it good!

Last night I was sitting outside and heard some leaves rustle. And there on the front lawn was a deer!!!! It was eating my flowers. I got my camera and took some photos. It came up the stairs to my higher garden then took off into the woods. It was such a special moment. I saw one last year in my back yard but it is rare to see them right at the cottage. Saw a bear last month, lots of raccoons (nightly), herons, geese, ducks etc.

And I just got an email from that crazy real estate agent. I get the feeling that cottage is going back on the market. Mine is not exactly ready for sale. It has never looked this bad. No bathroom sink. Nothing in the right rooms and no new carpet. LOL! I doubt I'd be interested but I'll see what he wants.

Got the bill for the driveway. Even including taxes it was less than the estimate. Halleulujah! Happy Day!

So, good stuff, bad stuff. But mostly "Sweet Lemonade" is flowing today from all the lemons I have been given.
