Things are going well. The W's job issues are still a carnival ride, but that is ok......I just go with the flow. Things are going very well with us, there are a few things I would like to see improved, but I am patient. We are talking about getting a room in the city this weekend and taking the kids to the zoo or aquarium.
I am glad to hear you are looking forward to the weekend....it has been a while since you said that.....definitely enjoy yourself. It is good to see you have been getting some good advice form a bunch of others...it makes us feel less alone

We had planned on going to the zoo or aquarium but bailed on those plans due to weather and decided to drive around and look at houses....apparently our hobby....lol
After that we went and arranged to get a quote for wood floors in our house and bought some paint for the dining room.....go with the flow...lol
We spent Saturday afternoon painting the dining room and accent wall in the living room. I don't think I have to say just how challenging this can be on your patience when you have a pair of 3 yr olds trying to "help" you out. We did manage to get it done with some frazzled nerves and I will say there is a lot to be said for the effect of "nesting" on a ladies libido
Well we woke up the next morning and noticed things looked very.....shiney. My W had bought semi-gloss instead of eggshell. We also didn't really make up our mind to re-do it in eggshell until after we had pulled down all of the tape. UNfortunately, I became a bit crabby (not at her just in general) at the thought of having to re-do it again on Sunday. At this point my W gave me a lesson in DBing....she put on a PMA and acted "as-if" and within a short bit of time my mood had changed to a positive one as well.
I am pretty certain she had never read the book, and she certainly could have made things much worse if she reciprocated the crabby mood, instead she turned things around. Perhaps some people just know this stuff.....lol

Well, if you're the one that bought the semi-gloss paint by mistake, it's probably a bit easier to "act as if" you like repainting and/or shiny walls.
lol....actually we were both there. My W said semi-gloss to the girl behind the counter with such confidence I didn't even think about questioning it. I do know better and the girl behind the counter should have known better and said something. Usually semi-gloss is used on trim....we bought 3 gallons of rust colored paint....ugh. It looks great now. I installed tHe refridgerator and microwave last night....tonight is the range and dishwasher. The best part last night was my W folded and put away all of the kids clothes (normally I do this and it is time consuming)....I told her I appreciated it. The old W would have just stayed on the couch and "let" me do it afterwards.
