Sometimes you can't do it all. You need to let up a little. You have a sick child and a working husband. It's a disappointment if your other son has to miss a birthday party, but it is not the end of the world, and he needs to learn about disappointment too. It is a good lesson in life. Let up on yourself and your husband. Do what you can, but don't move heaven and earth to make somebody else's birthday party.
