I was reading your thread and am STILL so amazed how similar our sitchs are! What star sign is your H?
After H left he came back home for a few days to help me with some things before he left for good. I also said to him that I was frightened I would not see him anymore. He replied "you will". Well, he even went to a completely different part of the world. I only saw him again after one year, although he e-mailed me often. The longest he could go without writing to me was 4 weeks, I think. But he only phoned me twice during the whole time.
He also used to treat me in a special way on my birthday and told me that I am somebody special. On the last b'day before he left, he did not give me anything special, but he wrote in the b'card "To the only woman I ever really loved". Half a year later he was gone!
I found out over a year later that H treated OW for her birthday which is after mine with huge presents, and all her following b'days as well! His recent excuse for not treating me like this was that I would have complained at how much money he spent!!! (Mind you, I did complain sometimes about how much money he spent, but he spent it mostly on HIM!)
When he asked me recently what I would like for my b'day, I said to start with "not much", but then I changed my mind and said, I would like a certain piece of jewellery. He then told me that it was too late to get it! However, he did pay for dinner which I initially invited him for. He complained all the time during my recent stay with him that he had to be careful with money. However, I found out through a friend that he was sending OW an expensive Christmas present and paid for all kinds of things, since she demanded it! Oh well, enough of venting.
I had another super day today and finally went swimming again. Tomorrow afternoon my sisters will come for a few days.
