Sorry things are alright.. just kind of hectic.. so I'd pop in to see that y'all were okay (although I don't believe I actually posted to anyone) and then went back to whatever it is that I need to do.

So, what have I been up to since I last posted? The last thing I talked about was going to the All Star MLS Game. Well that was Thursday. Friday D2 and I met with my friend and her nephew at the zoo. D2 LOVED it!!!! It was kind of hot though so I was absolutely exhausted afterward and didn't have much energy to do anything on Saturday. On Sunday I took D2 to a drumcorps show. She'd never been before. She liked the music but found it a little loud at times so she covered her ears... I think she really liked watching the flags, sabres and rifles the best!! As she should since I was on the colour guard for years (many moons ago now) and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as they say!
Other than that I've still been packing up. Grouted my shower on Monday.. didn't do a very good job since I didn't have a clue what I was doing! Tuesday, I had that sorta kinda interview and I think it went well.. but they hadn't decided what they were looking to pay and I feared I have too big of an ego about how good I am so I didn't want to tell them what I'm hoping for. I should receive an email with the info come the end of the week. We'll see how it goes. I think it would be a good fit for me. The atmosphere seems really good and the people friendly.. but I won't be heartbroken if it doesn't work out since I'd really like to get a job at one of the universities... and I mean I'd REALLY like that to happen.. so I send my positive job karma to land a job there somehow!
So, that was Tuesday... Yesterday D2 was very grumpy and very clingy... we did some everyday stuff like laundry and groceries.. then went out for pizza and back to a friends for ice cream. H stopped by last night for an hour and a half or so.
Today, cleaning windows, went to Ikea to buy curtains... hung the curtains (which was tough).. searching for a Dyson vacuum. I want the canister kind. My vacuum died so I'm using my Mom's and I hate it! I told H that I wanted a Dyson because I've only heard great things about them.. so he said to go for it.
Oh, and on Tuesday before the "sorta kinda interview" I stopped in to my old workplace. It felt strange... and I felt insecure. I think if I already had a great job and had something amazing to show for myself I would have felt better. Not that they were rude or anything but.. it would be nice to show everyone and myself that I am better off than I was prior to leaving there, you know?
Well, hugs and kisses to you all! H is planning on stopping by to see D2 and I this evening.. he's going to be impressed with my curtain hanging job! I had to install the rod and everything !!!!
PS. Forgot to mention that pictures are going to be taken of the house on Tuesday (which is why I'm doing the mad rush for grouting, curtains.. etc...) so I'm starting to get REALLY nervous.. The house should be on the market any time after Tuesday.
You're making things happen. What do you have to prove? Your tackling activities with self reliance. You're making tough decisions in a confident manner.
It's always nice to have bragging rights when you drop by a former workplace but whose approval is more important.. yours or theirs?

My gosh, just realized I forgot something I did on Monday. D2 and I spent 8 hours at Wonderland with H. I can't believe that slipped my mind. You see, I wasn't lying when I said things were kind of hectic. The stress of getting the house ready.. and worrying about whether it will sell.. is making me a little loopy!
