she's not going to pull a gF W on me. I think she genuinely wants to maintain a friendship after D and she might be realizing that for that to happen she needs to be more proactive. Or maybe she just wants to catch up since she'd like to hear about Scotland and tell me about her visit to see some mutual friends. In any case, it's a nice gesture.
Yes, bridge - interesting word choice, huh? I guess what I find interesting is that the word draws attention to itself. If she had simply asked, "Would you like to have dinner?" I don't think that is NOT being considerate of my feelings. By putting "consider" in there it puts a twist into things.
Agghh, but why am I analyzing this much! See, this is what happens! Pay attention, all you DBers out there - this is exactly how you drive yourself crazy! DON'T READ TOO MUCH INTO THINGS!
lol - lodo
ps - paper is 4 pages longer. I think I can add some figures, too. Always a good strategy.
pss - although, 9 years ago she DID pull a gF W on me under identical circumstances. It's SO hard for me, and has been all along, not to think that things will play themselves in the same way. But this time more damage has been done, by both of us.
Karen and I were just talking...if you meet any hot, ughh sweet men while you are in Scotland get their info to pass on to us okay? They would have to pass for good guys, no bums you know.
That could be a new side line for you!

Thanks, Kat, good idea! And don't forget Lodo I'm 6 feet tall so they have to be at least 6 feet tall for me too! :)That's a great idea, you could be a um, matchmaker for us!!! Karen
Lodo, so what if she did pull a gF W on you? What would you do then? Karen
A) She won't; B) She won't agree to no contact w/ OM; C) She won't take the time to work on things; D) Our R is over. She said so herself - she said she thought our previous separation defined our M. That she was naive when she met me. That she can't be the person for me. That she's happy doing what she's doing. That she can't go back to being with someone.
So. I went through this once before. And we got back together. and it worked for awhile. But now we're back at where we were before. And I can't continue doing this for the rest of my life! I need to be with someone who is as committed as I am, even when times are bad. At least to hold out the possibility for trying rather than shutting down and hopping into bed with the first person that looks.
Actions speak louder than words so don't say won't cause you don't know yet. I know that there is someone waiting out there for you. You are such a lovely, intelligent person. Could it be that this trauma befell us just so we could all meet?
I am sure that there are several ladies that frequent your thread that would agree with me, the next lady better realize what a wonderful catch she has made!
I got to go to bed, and you are probably just eating. have a pleasant evening. Sweet dreams.
