Phil--what's your reference for this?? No one I know in the Church considers hypnotism a problem at all.
Maybe he confused it with hedonism. 12 years of Catholic education never pointed this evil out to me either. My Latin teacher (Priest) was a psychology major. At least he should have pointed that fact out.
