I figured as much & knew he would be reading everything I said soon anyway.

I don't think I'll ever feel the same way about this man.

It explains a lot.....computer acting up all of a sudden....buying S16 a laptop to get him off of this one....

I'm sorry this puts anyone in an uncomfortable position, it's only me that he would harm though, I'm sure about that.

Why?

Because of this...

Hasn't this all just happened in the last few weeks? It would make sense given events since the beginning of July...

I'm a real techidiot...can he access this remotely?

Now, on to getting it taken off...and moving forward with new knowledge for you, too...

Hang in there pally,

Yes, he can do it remotely, once installed. Any idiot can do it.

He's proof of that.

You can work from a library or internet cafe and you can create a new email account and username.

You can also click notify moderator from any of those other sites and tell me 'who' you are. I will get an email.

I'm stunned at this whole saga to say the least. In any case, Puppy and Warm&Sunny, each of you knows a way to contact me off-board should there be a need for that. Just trying to be helpful ...

Lodo

PS - want to clarify one thing. The MSXML file is xml core services from microsoft. A google search says virtual key is a password protection thing for secure websites. I don't know anything about keyloggers, but are you sure there is definitely one installed?

Okay - I've done some more checking and I'm not sure you have a keylogger installed. But again, I don't know that much about them.

For starters, most keyloggers disguise themselves as other processes, so why would they post an item in the installed applications folder?

If a keylogger is installed, it places information in a file and then sends it over a network connection. So what you can do is monitor the network connections and local files that your computer is accessing to try and detect any weird activity.

How to do this? There is a little program called Process Monitor - free download. This might be getting too techy for you, but it'll provide real-time monitoring of file events and let you know what your computer is accessing and what process is accessing it.

Hope this helps - lodo

oh Sunny I'm so sorry. I can't believe he did that to your computer.

I hope there's a way you can delete of remove the programs that let him spy on you.

Sunny,

I think Lodo has hit upon something, and you MAY be safe. But if you want to reach me, e-mail him with a new, secure e-mail address for you, and I will send you an e-mail there. I'm here to help.

I am with Lodo , I dont think that virual key is a key logger , your H may have installed it so that he can access some websites that you cant see ( e mail perhaps ) .
For piece of mind you should get a tech in though as I am no expert.
This is a very good reason to restrict his access to your house or even get a login password set on your computer so he cant use it ?

Hope every thing else is OK

Thanks Lodo, Pup, K, sg, Jen & L,

I tried out Process Monitor, I didn't see much (that I could understand anyway).

I'm not really sure there's a keylogger now, I came to that when I googled Virtual Key it led to the Kbd Edit software site for purchasing keylogging software which can be installed in 2 minutes.

Since he already changed my password to access my cell records last year & hired a PI to investigate "Boat Boy" a couple of weeks ago, it would make sense that he would go for a keylogger to keep up with me.

There might really be no way of knowing for sure. I'll have to get a tech in to clean it up though. I do feel like I'm being watched now & will just have to live like I might be.
