All I can say is that that musical is crazy! They have replicas of the original costumes and wigs used in Cats, period costumes, a bazillion incredible wigs styled for each significant character. I can't believe the change when the girl who plays the lead in Hairspray wore her wig. It is incredible how realistic it makes everything. No detail is left undone.
The people who produce this never make money, they don't charge the kids hundreds to thousands of dollars to be in this (as many other theatres do). They inspire each individual.. cast, crew, moms, dads to do more than they ever thought they could. A challenge arises, you rise beyond it. Maybe they should go on tour doing workshops so others can experience the magic they bring.
Opening night is Friday. I'll have to find something to replace this wonderful experience.
