Hi Pisces!

I finally found your current thread! I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the encouragement and let you know that I am reading along.

And now its time to play "Name that Will Ferrel Movie":
Quote--"I immediately regret this decision."

(perhaps a fimilar refrain for those that are on these boards, haha!)

Hi Pisces

I think that email was really positive and said quite a lot. He trusts that he can say things that may be a little emotive and feels safe to do so. Just carry on as your doing and he will feel safer and safer. It may be that he was clawing back a little control, but that's fine.

What you are doing is working and it is natural for our WAS to draw back a little once they have opened up. After all they have been so guarded for so long, it must be a hard habit to break and let go of.

Your doing so well

Julia

B- i am sad to say i cant figure it out- BUT ill try...talladega nights or anchor man?

how about this one "i piss excellence".

JCJ- thanks so much- i appreciate this...thats a good way of looking at it too...

i just hope it keeps going in this direction...i really have tried to make him feel safe..i know i am the safest place for him in this whole world...so i am here for him and can handle whatever he wants to say to me....very true abut him being guarded...he is very shy and i had a hard time hearing what he had to say in the past..i would get upset if it was negative...now i can take it...

The winner...JWS

You've totally stumped me with 'I piss excellence'. I'll find it though.

I hope things are going well for you today.

awesome that you've recognized what you did wrong and have corrected it!!! the fact that he is opening up to you is amazing. keep it up...validate validate validate...but don't rush....give him time to work on his shyness.....if anyone can break it, you can!!!

thanks Neil- i appreciste that...it is amazing when i just hear him and validate and dont try to solve anything...just really say " i understand" and " it soudns like you have found some ways to deal with that"...just really let him be who he is and handle his life the way he wants...it is refreshing....AND his stuff and moods ARE NOT ABOUT ME \:\)

i wont rush it...things got a little ahead of themselves but im ok with that ;\)

Hi all- well im off to NY tomorrow...im not usually a good traveler away from my H and so far this will be my 3rd trip away since our sep...so im doing well... im going w my mom to a fam reunion...so it will be nice to see family i havent seen n a very long time.

also now my H and i have more positive history in our minds so that is nice but i still want to keep learning how to be more on my own...

usually i would get panicked w out my H and feel anxious and isolated...weird...now im just excited to get away from here for a bit and see a new place!

ill bring my laptop so ill be in touch this weekend!

take care everyone- PMA! \:\)
