Thanks for the info. Sounds way cool! Heck - I'm off work for the summer - need to do something to stay in shape. 9 holes of golf did me in last w/e - no excuse for that except that I've been lying on the beach!
If you want rid of the belly, cut fats and sugars, up protiens and do 30-45 min. of brisk cardio 5 days a week i.e. treadmill, walking, cross trainer. I've lost 60 pounds and I look better than most men half my age! LOL
I have a good diet, well mabe could cut some fats(I adore butter on things like new potatoes, toast and scones). But the thought of all that exercise -yuck- I was hoping with the zumba I wouldn't need to do that! Actually I was always told to do sit-ups. stomach crunches for muscle tone. I am only a size 10 (UK size) and really don't want to lose weight. I think as you age you look better a little heavier. You can look scraggy if too thin. Thanks for the advice tho.
If you are a size 10 I doubt that you are overweight. Fat can and does collect around the belly and legs, I know all about it! LOL Crunches and ab work do tone and strengthen muscles, bad thing is it does nothing to get rid of the fat around them, therefore no one can see them. People that you see with stomach muscles didn't get them by doing lots of sit-ups, they got them with diet. As for exercise, c'mon Naej if it were easy, everyone would do it!! LOL
My legs are not fat and fairly well toned as I dance and walk (not as much as I used to tho-not my fault it's the dogs) I used to have a v large garden and was a keen gardener but on moving to shoe box I lost interest.
I am not too bothered about people seeing my stomach muscles. I would just like to see my clothes look better.
Maybe magic knickers are the answer!
For now I,ll continue to blame my tum on having 2 kids in a year and my age. Maybe I need a personal trainer but he has to look like George Cloony and do them for free-ah well I can dream.
HAHA...naej, I agree with Karen, you are a funny one!
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Lis!!!!
Hope you're out doing something fun with those babies! Aside from all of what we've been through, life is pretty darn good, isn't it? AND... it keeps on getting better all the time!
