we had a long ride to get there and did get stuck in traffic but we did ok.
we talked alot on the ride...started talking about the 4th of july who's comming etc. which led to talking about my brothers sit (divorced...w cheated...gave him the ilynilwy...2kids that were then 4yr g and 4month boy) which led to talking about my parents d...which led to love languages talk etc...
which led to my saying to h..."i do love you you know" to which h replied...."i know you do, and I hope you know that I love you too"
my parents d still effects me...maybe it always will I don't know...my brothers d effects me too but not as much...h tries to empathise but really can't wants me to find some peace with it...I will someday.
so at the concert my emotions were already running a tad high...and then the son shed a little light was sung and the flood of tears came....h was very comforting...hugging me rubbing my back....
ok ok so I drank too much wine...but we had a really really good night.
then I had a weird dream and I don't know what to make of it if anything at all...I'll figure it out and I'm sure there'll be some lightbulb moment over the next day or so.
somethings comming and I feel it's more possitive.
Shed a Little Light" James Taylor
Let us turn our thoughts today To Martin Luther King And recognize that there are ties between us All men and women Living on the Earth Ties of hope and love Sister and brotherhood That we are bound together In our desire to see the world become A place in which our children Can grow free and strong We are bound together By the task that stands before us And the road that lies ahead We are bound and we are bound
There is a feeling like the clenching of a fist There is a hunger in the center of the chest There is a passage through the darkness and the mist And though the body sleeps the heart will never rest
(Chorus) Shed a little light, oh Lord So that we can see Just a little light, oh Lord Wanna stand it on up Stand it on up, oh Lord Wanna walk it on down Shed a little light, oh Lord
Can't get no light from the dollar bill Don't give me no light from a TV screen When I open my eyes I wanna drink my fill From the well on the hill
(Do you know what I mean?) - Chorus -
There is a feeling like the clenching of a fist There is a hunger in the center of the chest There is a passage through the darkness and the mist And though the body sleeps the heart will never rest
Oh, Let us turn our thoughts today To Martin Luther King And recognize that there are ties between us All men and women Living on the Earth Ties of hope and love Sister and brotherhood
