I get like that too sometimes Karen. Some days I want to chill and not do anything. Of course, I can't remember when the last time I did that was, but I'd like to.

Jake and I watched the all-star game to the end last night. I was really mad at myself for it this morning! Isn't Grady Sizemore the curest kid around? I know he's in his 20's, but he looks like he's 12. Wish he'd have ended it in the 10th with the bases loaded. Oh well.

Cliff Lee looked pretty darned good in the first two innings too.

No that I've mentioned the two Indians in the lineup, I think I'll get to work.

Karen,

Quick thoughts. Sometimes we are in a funk, not too much we can do about it except move forward.

Your life is GREAT! Great guy, great kid, great that X is outta your life, great place to live, great state, great wine country (though I don't partake, I know where you live! \:D ).

So, while you wait for the right opportunity to get back into the work force, consider doing a little bit of volunteering somewhere.

Certainly senior citizens can always use visitors but so do youth organizations (boys and girls clubs) etc. Orphanages etc. Though you say your own place needs a little tidying up, skip it and find someone who could use some help at their place once every couple of weeks to tidy up, someone who would not mind the company.

A senior citizen in the area you live in who has not yet moved to a retirment home? Someone who needs to have their dog walked? Now there are dog walking services but fixed income people may not be able to afford it. The options are unlimited.

By giving, we always get back more than what we give.

Just a thought. \:\)

Great suggestions C2! Nothing does the heart anymore good than to feel that we made a difference in someone's life.

Hey K,

I guess if you're a Angels fan this was the weekend to be at a game. The Sox got spanked bigtime huh? Did Ry enjoy himself?

I don't know about you but when I'm off or anxious about something or just plain down, I have trouble keeping myself motivated to do even the easiest of things. Think about what's going on and what is standing in the way of you doing the things that bring you peace. I don't know about you but when my house is out of control, generally so is most everything else.

Hey C2
How funny
I'm over on page 4 looking for my thread! Thinking hmmmm oh oh what did I do or say that it was deleted? It couldnt be, its too dull! LOL

Then I see you brought me back up! lol
and funny you say that about volunteering , well for one my son bought me a bumper sticker its on the fridge that says" Quick stop me before i volunteer again" LOL

It would drive him crazy that I would all the time for his school, baseball, soccer.

I could volunteer to fiind and pick up men, I hear thats popular nowdays \:\)
oh I have one, never mind.

You are right and its something I have done in the past, but the lazy part of me was enjoying the time off.

BUTTT well its not much but I did just get a call and the pres. of our association, asked me if I would like to do some typing from home but for $$!! now I use to do it years ago on a volunteer basis, but its more intense now as we have grown and its more work.

So, its not much, but I will get paid a bit AND maybe get my foot in the door for when they are hiring, its about a 10 person office , that takes care of a few communities in our city, so it would be kinda fun to work there. Like I said not a big deal but its something and some extra money !

Boy do I now wish my new laptop was here already!!

Thank you for the prayer C2, you are such a sweetheart!! I had a rough weekend and actually thought to write you to help me w/ some prayers!

(( C2))

Hey Bethie!

Yesss it was a good weeeknd for my Angels. Ry had a great time, I will admit ex done good. ( jerk lol) kidding

They had a nice dinner there at one of the restaurants that overlook the playing field, then watched the whole game AND then sat in the parking lot for over 30 mins waiting to get out!! I told them to leave at the 7th inning, it was a done deal. he got home about 12:30 a.m, w/ a taco for me he picked up at taco bell on the way home lol
He met ex at a friends house half way there, so I didnt have to see him.

Funny too, I sent our lil Boston album along w/ him for them to look at , had forgotten what a great trip it was, well ex kept it!! said he'll give it back this week. He tm and said he was sorry but will give it back soon, he would love to scan some of the pics. There are pics in there of the house he grew up in, and his old school etc. I am sure he would like to kepe those

My house is slowing coming together, w/ Ry here its been chaotic, but lil by little we are purging things and getting ready for our garage sale.

Had a nice weekend, my sis was down, so we played games and ate, ate and played games. B and I went car shopping and I bought some cute items at an antique mall

How was your weekend Bethie?
