Seriously, C2 - I had not met Karen or Ellie before that trip. Or (hmmm - what was that girl's name who's H was a baseball player - I forget) well, anyway, then there's George Bailey.
I go to Cal every other year or so. I have met most of her friends. She is one awesome lady. Has 2 sons - one is 21, the other is 18. Both live on their own now while in school. I will bet you have seen her ex on tv in the past week. Ha!
Anyway, drop me a line. You just never know. She's a pretty blonde.
What can you tell her? Hmmmm I guess leading with the "butt light" would not be putting my best body part, um asset, oh crud, oh yeah, "best foot" forward.

cat, good to hear. Everone goes through the trials and challenges, believer and non believer alike, but the assurance we have from the bible that if we love God, IT (whatever "it" is) will work out where He gets the glory.
Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, repeatdly points out in his devotions that the day to day "survivng" is where we really grow and see the power of God. Even the devotion from today connects to that daily struggle, the daily battle, the daily dying to self will and self desire in order to be a vehicle for use as He pleases.
Maybe more than any other culture at this time we live in a very "Me" drivin soceity with instant everything and a mindset of instant gratification. These growth pains we experience and the "dying to self" is all a part of our maturation but sometimes it sure aint easy, but it certainly is worth it.

Yes, she and her ex are on good terms. He always brings over dinner or takes us out when I am visiting. I think he's kind of weird - but don't repeat that. It was SO weird when we saw him on the tv on the gas pump as we were leaving for SD. That just freaked me out.
C2 - you were on the Dating Game? Are you kidding? I always watched that.
That made me LOL ! You wonder when you see someone on tv what they would be like in person, She told me he is very much a loner, odd w/ his profession and where he lives! Mums the word tho!
