I took my kids up to a friend's lake cabin this weekend. It was paradise (not quite, but close). The kids had a fantastic time. The played with their friends, fishing, tubing and went waterskiing.

For me it made me happy to see them forget everything and smile without a care in the world. However, it was a bit surreal. This friend is one that has a wife that used to be a good friend with my STBX. She went over the top to treat me kindly. Big hug and kiss and everything. I think she is worried about me. It was very nice, but I felt like she thought I was dying or something.

I liked the place up there so much I'm thinking about buying a cabin there if one comes available.

Did the kids catch any fish?

I am thinking about taking my next year summer vacation up your way to Glacier, Banff and Jasper national parks. Who knows...by then I may have a new special lady in my life so I need to keep my schedule open and flexible. If I do get up that way next year, I will try to stop by to say hi to you and Kalni.

You will have to stop by for sure. We'll be expecting you.

The kids caught a bunch of sunfish and a good size small mouth bass. It was funny to hear when the hooked the small mouth. It took off and I'm pretty sure the whole lake heard my son screaming for me from the dock.

Warm water fish in Idaho seems so strange. Idaho sure does produce a lot of farm raised Talapia though (and Atlantic Salmon).

Kalni - Is Woog a vegetarian?

Are you sure you want to spend the winter in Idaho? Tune up your snowman making skills.

The lakes are fairly small and shallow. A few years ago someone introduced small mouth and pan fish into the lakes and they thrived.

No, I'm not a vegetarian. My daughter is however.

We are working on it. We are trying to work on the timing of going back and forth.

It would be so amazing to say I knew you and K when!!!!

I wonder how many people fall in love on these boards?

I think I saw someone else in the mlc forum that recently married.. It seemed like they may have both been on here originally to save their marriages and met each other? But I could be wrong!

Hugs,
W2G
