I'm sorry to hear that you are heading for a D. I do not understand how your H could let wonderful you walk away without hanging on for dear life.
You have learned a lot about yourself through this process your H has done no self reflection.. Please give yourself the credit you deserve!

PS. Pulling your partner aside to speak to them, even in a public place, is not something to be embarrassed or livid about... your H's head is really on backwards.
