How is the lead up to the kids parties going? Are you stressed yet? Hmmm, will you eat the blue cake or the pink one? Or are you having gender neutral? it must get quite complex!
The lead in is going pretty good. We went shopping last night for them (spent entirely too much...lol)...I typically don't get stressed at these things. They are what they are.
This year we asked the kids what they wanted and My D said Tinkerbell and my S said Cars (i.e. from the movie). So we have a split theme. Last nigt my W was picking out their outfits for tomorrow and my W said she just couldn't get them to match. I just said "Sweety, you might as well give up on that you have Tinkerbell and Cars they are going to clash" we both laughed.
It reminds of the room I set up for them when we sep. They shared a room. I decorated one side in Cars and one side in Disney Princess....it looked hideous...but they loved it! My heart melted when my D ran to her bed and jumped up and down on it screaming excitedly I sleep here!
Their party is where they have their gym class, so plenty of kids, plenty of trampolines and plenty of padded walls (oh wait...that is my old house....just kidding).
My job is to be calm and be the rock...my W is the one that will stress out over these things.

You've made me chuckle as I remember my bedroom as a small child. I couldn't decide which wallpaper I liked best and took so long deciding my Dad decorated it half Care Bears and half My Little Pony - it looked hideous looking back, but it was the bestest thing EVER to me What an 80's child I was!
Ah, I hope you have a fabulous time and enjoy it. My nephew is 10 this weekend. I can't believe that! It makes me feel old!
I was trying to work out how you could combine Cars and Tinkerbell but I really don't think it is at all possible in any shape or form lol! It's good to have variety and trampolines are the best.

I love it, too. The best part about growing up with brothers, I got to play Transformers with them, and they played Barbies with me (we even had a little Spiderman costume for Ken!). Of course, there were drawbacks: They leveled my Barbie dreamhouse to plastic rubble when they decided to play "Godzillas attack Barbie & Ken's house."
