No, she hasn't. Because you still live together. And I'm surprised she's OK with that, but it's a good thing.
I wouldn't rush the "splitting things up" stage, like the truck. Somehow you'll have to decide who gets it, etc. That was the most painful part of all this for me. I have no idea about Canada, but here in Texas the name it's in doesn't matter. All property acquired during the marriage gets split.
Well she mentioned when she broke down crying last week she has thought of leaving and giving me everything. But she hasn't.. again last night we watched a movie, got along super... i don't call her at all anymore during the day, unless it's to make arrangements for the dogs/cats to get fed. I was surprised at her reaction when i told her "some girl gave me a box of protein bars at work, just as a friendly gesture because they made her ill" she replied" i was going to say SOME girl!!" ... i kept quiet..
Here in this province (Alberta), everything is 50-50 regardless as well...i don't want the truck anyways it's too expensive to fill up lol (i'd rather we stay together and share both car and truck)
anyways her sister is coming to the house tonight to get pointers on her resume, she sent me email asking " are you ok?" i replied to the other questions but pretended i didn't even read that, truth is I am great... but missing one thing..
Jon why did you find it painful splitting stuff? I view it as "only stuff" .. but that's just me and i might see it different in the future.
