sometimes I think after I post something that maybe it comes across as I am trying to paint this perfect picture of me, nothing could be farther from the truth. I am no saint, I have my faults and have made my share of mistakes in my M I admit when I have done something wrong as well as when I post about things that are very raw for me because you have all shown me a side of myself that got lost.
Well Brian, the great thing about these boards is that we all come from the same hideous background so you cannot paint a picture of yoruself that we will not see through. We all know that none of us were perfect and thatthere is a reason our marriages ended up in thi situation.
The point of it is to be able to honestly look at where you screwed up. What you need to do differently if you are given a second chance. What you need from her is also important, this is where Cookie is great. Her list of needs from her H was fantastic and it was great to see that she recognized her own needed changes as well as what she needed her H to do differently.
When you and your wife reconcile (and I believe you will), it will be more about fixing the "US" in your marriage and that occurs by each of you fixing yourselves, and being honest with each other about your needs from one another.
Oh and I knew you weren't perfect, your into race cars, that in itself tells me a lot about you

Very well said, we all do have flaws, and the key is to recognize them and adjust.
Communication is the ticket, honesty, sincerity, and and the ability to accept critques without vengance and anger.

I seem to be the Poster child for 2x4's, I jump onto SC's thread and they are talking about her makin a Light Saber to use on me instead of wood, I have 2 Tennessians' who swing at me like I was a gnat.
Brian, up in the great state of NY (the land of taxes) we would just hit you with a switch from the closest tree, but I wouldn't do that. I'm just a sweetheart down deep and I'd give you an AWWWWW, honey and give you a big hug.

Everyday I get a bit stronger, but thankful I have here to do my backsliding instead in front of W.
It's kinda like being the week before a big football game, you start preparing on Monday you are nervous, abit frightened, sick to your stomach, but everyday of the week that goes by you get a little more siked a little more excited a little more confident until Friday night comes and you are so pumped up you don't even think about the 4 days it took to get to that point of readiness, I am at about Wednesday right now.
