Maybe this is your answer. It gives you the separation and the chance you need to see if you miss him. Maybe after you go to Carmel you will be pleasantly surprised & see another side of him.
I've been to Carmel and I loved it. The only problem is I was there with kids so I really didn't get to experience the nightlife. Sounds like fun!
