"i've got nothing major planned this weekend...did you want to take them to the park this weekend?"
I would probably go with something like "Hey, me and the kids were going to go to the park Saturday morning, if you would like you can come along and hang out, they really have a great time there."
Saying you have nothing major planned doesn't sound good. Does your W typically take them to the park? or is this pretty much a "Daddy" activity?
