Real Life part 6

You all won't believe this. This right here has to go down in the books for the single STUPIDEST thing anyone has done.

First of all I spent the entire day today going around to places getting my named changed back to my madien name on everything. My last stop was the bank so that I could get a new ATM card and checks with my name on them. When I am at the bank, I learn that H never closed the joint savings account. He closed the joint checking account, but didn't do the savings. Here is the stupid part....he deposited the settlement check into the joint savings account!! So I legally could have right then and there today taken all of the money out of that account. Who on earth does such a stupid thing?

Thankfully for him, I didn't take any of the money out. It was tempting for me to take the $50 he owes me from all of the food and bills he has racked up over the past 2 months. But I didn't even do that.

I did call him and told him that he better go sign the papers at the bank to get my name off of the account or I was going to take the close the account and keep the check until he moves out. He said that he thought the lady at the bank just knew that he wanted the savings changed to just his name. Yeah...like the lady at the bank can read minds? Geesh!

Since I had access to his account. I saw that on the day he got the check from the settlement he put $3,000 of it in the the savings. Leaving $500 out. Then on Tuesday he took out another $300 in cash. So in one weeks time he has spent $800 on what???? This really doesn't concern me except....I want hinm to find an apartment and get out of here. If he is spending money this fast how is he going to ge an apartment??
