I know enough Spanish to order chicken, wine and find the bathroom so feel like I'm pretty fluent.

Hopefully you are not asking them to send you your chicken and wine to you while you are in the bathroom. They probably come away thinking "que locos las americanas" (crazy friend of Bethie's)
