Ellie, sounds like you're chugging right along. Thanks for checking in on me from time to time. Happy belated anniversary and congrats on your body for life challenge! You have immense willpower and I admire you. I'll have to pass on joining you...I prefer bellydancing for fitness.

Hi Ellie, just stopped by to say thanks for the numerous times you have helped me out. A very belated Happy Anniversary to you both!! Great that you are bumping up the numbers on the success list.

Admittedly I havent read your entire V.D Massacre..a lot of it, but not all, but I have managed to reef some important things from it. My turn around came when I stopped caring what he did..that I was only responsible for myself and my children, and he would just have to face his choices at some stage, either with me to help him or with OW / by himself. That change by the way, has only happened in the last week or so. But wow I feel so much more in control of me! Still get sad, but hey..that could just be pregnant hormones amongst everything else!!

Thanks again for being everywhere for everyone. It's great to have such wonderful advice available to us.

Hi Ellie,

Just saw one of your post in Newcomers and was quite perturbed by it. You said that if the marriage is still young and infidelity has set in, it's not worth it to pursue?

My marriage is close to 2 years (bomb dropped after 15 months) but have been together for 4 years. H felt trapped in the marriage because I was too controlling...and yes I was! He wanted S but has not done it yet. Now he has OW and claims he loves her more than me...thinks it's EA. Have realised problems in our M, and have done 180 on those.

I'm just quite worried after what you've said about young marriages with infidelity in the beggining. H did say he didn't believe in M but may one day settle down???

So...what's your opinion on this? H had since been more relaxed and caring since bomb drop 3 months ago.....have been DBing all this time....

I'm confused...

Sorry...to hijack your thread...but need some advise if possible....thanks.

Hi all -
spoke to H on the phone last night - he is gone on a trip with S11. Still depressed, but still with insight into the fact - he commented that he didn't get his prozac before the trip and probably should have - I know he's struggling to have a good time through his depression, it's just too bad that this is dampening what should be a fabulous trip - snowboarding in South America with our most athletic child! I mean, he is having a good time - but not like he would have had without the depression.

S11 is having a blast - came in second in a slalom race against teens and adults - I'm sure he's stoked! And now he's very motivated to improve his Spanish (which he will have in school this year) - so that he can get a summer job as a snowboard instructor when he's a teenager!

I went to an art festival yesterday with my mom and daughter - ended up buying a beautiful photo of Mt. Whitney

Today - to tackle my huge to-do list.

And surf, of course.

Ellie, what a shame he didn't get his prescr. before the trip..mmmmm would love to be skiing. I'm not a boarder, but haven't tried to be honest....much prefer the option of skiis where you can get a leg each side of those rotten obstacles that always find their way onto the mountain. Now there's a picture for you...me in my ski gear, bright yellow jacket, hurtling down the slope with a huge big belly..well that actually sounds more like a snow plough than a skier, but I can dream. Hopefully we'll still have enough snow left here late Sept, that I might get a ski in.

Nice that you were able to get out and enjoy yourself.... your to do list....is it one of those ones you cringe everytime you think of it? My "to do" list is on my "to forget" list!!

Have a lovely weekend.

LOL!!!

Snowboarding is great, but you have to be prepared for the first two days of sheer torture - after that, it's very rhythmic and graceful - more than I ever was on skis.
