I was too tired to really post by the time I got home last night. I went and got my hair trimmed after work, bought some hair supplies, then ended up going out to dinner with friends at Sweetwater.
The hair supplies are organic henna dye and the necessary tools for my roommate so she can dye my hair. We're gonna do it tonight after work! Well, after work, then aikido lol.
I was going to go to aikido last night, but I forgot they switch Wednesdays to jyo (medium staff) practice in the park and hadn't made arrangements to have a jyo from the dojo. So, ended up doing the errands I was planning on doing tomorrow instead. Which works out fine.
Oh, and one of the black belts is a certified massage therapist and estitician and she has her own business which I found out is only about 8 blocks from where I work, so I may need to make an appointment with her soon!

Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969). Aikido is often translated as "the Way of harmonious spirit", or "the Way of love" (but not romantic love, the kanji Ai has a much broader meaning). Ueshiba's goal was to create an art that practitioners could use to defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury.
Aikido is about blending with the motion of the attacker and redirecting the force of the attack rather than opposing it head-on. The nage (thrower) leads the uke's (attacker's) momentum using stepping and turning movements. The techniques are completed with various throws or joint locks. Aikido can be categorized under the general umbrella of grappling arts and is normally considered a "soft" marital art.
We also learn the basics of using weapons such as the staff and sword, and how to defend against them.
My dojo. The Wikipedia article is also pretty good. My dojo is not associated with any of the specific schools that have split off, but rather with a 10th Dan in Japan who was one of the founder's students.

I'm so glad for you that you haven't talked to H in a month. You sound like you are in such a better place right now, he is just not at the fore-front of your mind and its really helped you.
Can you ammend a LS if you decide to D? What happens to all of the the stuff you file with the LS if you can in fact ammend it to D, does it stay or do you have to do it over?

Can you ammend a LS if you decide to D? What happens to all of the the stuff you file with the LS if you can in fact ammend it to D, does it stay or do you have to do it over?
If you both agree you can keep most of the paperwork the same. I.e. the settlement agreement, child custody and vistitation stuff. It just gets attached to the divorce decree instead of the legal separation.
