Ok, even if you are not there, I had this idea. I am guessing your goal is to get some reaction which eventually could turn into communication between the two of you. If I am right, this is what you could do, now or let's say in a couple of days.
YOu find a subject you want her oppinioin on, something simple like what food to prepare, what groceries you need to buy, what time does she need to be picked up or even something more "personal" like if she would like to have some special kind of ice cream later on, something, and make an A4 paper with tick boxes. Like :
Question : Would you like a nice mexican plate for tonight?
tick box yes tick box no
Have a pen near by, make sure it is A BIT funny and see what she does. That way she will have to respond and it is a bit playful. If she responds and hopefully with a yes (pick your question safely) we'll take it from there again..
