Hey Queenie!

The rumors about you occasionally being "pissy" are greatly exaggerated! \:\)

Sounds like you are making a lot of good, positive changes. I am happy for you! And do travel....lots! It's fun.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I will keep him and your family in my prayers. We really do get hammered dealing with both the problems of our "young adult" children and our aging parents. Hang in there.

Hey Jill

I'm glad to hear things are going well for you, congratulations on that part.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I know what that feels like.

Thanks, everyone!!!

Through all my trials and tribulations, I'm tellin' ya, there is not a kinder or more patient group to put up with my whining than y'all here!!! I love you guys!!!

K, my boss was acting a little "distant" today but, ya know, I'm used to my X not speaking to me for weeks on end while we were married. This will pass.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH JILL STARTED A NEW THREAD!!!

Ha ha I almost missed this. I guess I have become accustom to your not having your own place, but then again I know you're not the least bit self-centered or insecure, so blogging about yourself is out, huh!

I'm glad to hear that you made an executive decision and quit your job. Hey, you might like your boss better now that she's not talking to you. You life there could be a whole lot more peaceful and less chaotic.

As far as your Dad goes, I'm so sorry to hear this. Not having to worry about work and being free to jump on a plane when your parents need you will be a blessing. I will keep them both in my prayers.

Alright so, let me know those dates. Call me if you need to talk. Oh and last but not least we've gotta work on getting SE on a plane...................

Beth,
I'll be in Chicago from 7/31 thru 8/2. Wanna hook up? ;\)

As for my boss, she lives about a 5 minute walk from me so I told her I'd be heading over with a bottle of wine occasionally. She really needs to take time out for some fun in her life and I'm just the gal to do it!!! I think she'll be a much better friend than she was a boss.

My sis will be in FL on Friday. I'm going to give her a few days to scope out the situation and then depending on what she tells me I'll go down before CHI. If it looks like things are stable for the moment, I'll go down after CHI.

And.....nope, not at all self centered or insecure.....just pissy occasionally!!!! However, if you're "that" interested in the day to day drama in my life, I can tell you about how many loads of laundry I did, what I bought at the grocery store, cleaning toilets, taking the dog to the vet, etc. Pretty exciting stuff, I'm tellin' ya!!!

Had just a few minutes to play and loookie loookie what I found, Jillybean! (no, did not find "nookie" even though it rhymes, come to think of it, didn't find a cookie or a bookie either, just plain ol' Jill. AND for some of you trouble makers, "ol' Jill" NOT OLD Jill)

Heck yeah, we need to hear all the details of the boring life.

Most importantly, praying for everyone but especially your mom. We are here for you, you know that.

Lets see now, X was not prepared? Surprise! He is going down! You have been more than patient and fair.

You quit, it is about time!!! Boss had a good thing and abused it.

Travel? You go girl, I heard it is a good thing to do!!!!! \:D

MG is the best!!! He's so considerate, kind, giving, and puts up with me no matter what!!!
What a guy! (but then we already knew that!)

And, believe it or not, sometimes I can actually get a little pissy!!!
I have learned to stay away from any comments such as these- it is just safe that way. (I'll leave it to Bethie to make the social commentary or jules once she finds your thread.

LOL no kidding C2, the huge yard sale I had w/ my GF a few months back brought me in a whole $40.00 and $10.00 that was given back for advertising!
I told Jilly it may not of been a good weekend for a garage sale--- go figure!

Queenie - you started a new thread!

I'm so so sorry to hear about your dad. Life is precious and we need to let those we love know that while they're healthy. I think that's the key to happiness.

MG sounds so good for you. Nobody deserves it more than you Q.

Oh, and your boss is not talking because she knows now what she will have to do because of your absence. If you hadn't told us all about how things were from the beginning and how you told her is was part-time, and she forced you into more hours - we would not truly understand. But we do. So go have those trips now. Good for you!
