OMG! W just sent me a note and asked if I wanted to go to one of the Islands in Lake Erie to see a band at one of the bars on Saturday and then spend the night and come home on Sunday!

That ole intimacy might be coming this weekend!

To answer your question Flynn, we had discussed starting the school year in our hometown, but in talking with S16, he's ok moving at the end of the first or second quarter. So we'll be doing that instead (depending on the situation).

Thanks Pup, don't know if that will happen, but I would be really surprised if there isn't some intimacy i.e. hand holding, hugs etc. Not sure I'm even ready for the ML part, but if the opportunity is there I'm sure I'll have a hard time refusing.....11 months is a long time....

Another good night at home. W and S16 went shopping and I went out with a couple of co workers. Before we all left W and I were discussing the weekend and I made a couple of jokes that really had her laughing. I also did one of those AOS you always talk about Pup. Tues night we were sitting there and W said "Cherry pie sounds really good right now" so yesterday I stopped by a restaurant that sells Amish pie's on my way home from work and picked one up. She smiled when I gave it to her when I got home.

When I got home S16 was watching some show on the history channel and W was upstairs watching the latest reality dancing show. She came downstairs to smoke and I actually caught her smiling at me when she saw that I was home! Man that felt good.

Still a terribly long way to go, but each day seems to get better and better......

Done with the stupid interviews finally. I'll have a chance to catch up on everyone's threads.....I hate it when work gets in the way of the important stuff!

oh yea 11 months big deal..over a year and a half here. IN FACT Friday night will be the first time W and I went somewhere without kids in 8 years and the first time we slept in the same room in over a year.
They asked if we wanted one or two beds in the room if avalible. I said two if avalible but who know's we may even "sleep" in the SAME BED...

I'm so happy for you, h4h. I hope I can "come around" in that way soon as well.

I guess I'll say this, too.....don't set yourself up for disappointment. She may have a different idea of what the weekend holds. Whatever was lacking before she sought out the OM needs to be there in full force this weekend.

Thanks WDID. I know it may not sound like it, but I really don't have too many expectations for this weekend. I'm just excited that she wants to spend some time with me alone.

I just hope I don't end up in jail. The place we're going is about as close to Bourbon Street as you can get without going to New Orleans. No strip clubs or anything like that, but lots of bars and plenty of people looking to hook up. We've always had a great time there as a couple but you always have to fend off the losers that think just because you're there you want to do something. I just hope W doesn't flirt with the wrong person cause I'll probably go off. Need to really keep that in check.

I actually would rather not go to this place just because of that, but I know we NEED to do fun things like this to keep moving our marriage the way we both (I think) want this to go, so we're going.

Anyway, it will be fun. We're going to see a duo that does humorous music. They play in Key West normally but come up to the Lake Erie Islands a couple times a summer. They are really fun. We're also going to see Pat Dailey. Don't know if anyone has ever seen him before, but he's great also. VERY FUNNY songs. If anyone listens to Bob and Tom in the mornings, Pat is a regular guest on their show. If you ever get a chance to see him, do so, he's a lot of fun.

Thanks for keeping track of me WDID. I've been pretty busy lately but I'm keeping up with your sitch also. Don't have much advise for you, but I am thinking of you.....PATIENCE.....

I agree...fun things together are important. She initiated this so it must be something that she really wants to do. I can hear your excitement in your words. You will have a great time no matter what!!!
