Saw some nice houses, some nice neighborhoods, and some in good locations for my commute. But none that had the "perfect storm" of all three. Also, now that I will have 2 XW's to share my paychecks with, I'm trying to find a modest place. I think I will have to compromise somewhere. I have another day of looking tomorrow, but I think I'll find something. I sure would like not to have to rent for a while and then move again.

You'll find something that will fit you. Renting really isn't fun. I like the idea of painting one wall purple and other green exciting(just the idea, I don't have any walls like that). Watching SW episode 6 and thinking of you.

I'm watching it too, you movie soulmate you. I've said before I don't get too hung up on where I live. As long as it is comfortable, I'll make it suit me. Thanks for thinking about me.

So I narrowed it down to 3 places. I am back in NYC for the evening but will head back to Allentown tomorrow for just the day to spend more time going through the finalists and will likely make an offer on one. Funny, I have seen people (women, mostly) spend more time picking out shoes than I am taking buying a frakkin' home. Maybe I should just pretend I am buying 5,000 pairs of shoes.
The places are all pretty nice, and I think I could be comfortable in any of them. I need to get used to the fact that my next home will have neighbors I can see. Everything feels so close together, but I'm just spoiled with the space I have in Maine. The one on the top of my list is not super big, but it has an open floor plan, higher ceilings. Feels roomy.
