Is there anything she needs that she hasn't bought herself? I know it might sound lame, but I noticed the car mats in my H's care were worn right through and bought him new mats. I even put them in his car at the parking lot at work and then continued on to my own work, so they were a surprise when he got in the car later.

He thanked me for them. Yes, he was surprised that I went to his work, but he didn't seem upset about it. It isn't like I tried to come see him or anything. The mats are cool with a square pattern to them. He really liked the style.
