Interesting day....kind of. Every 4th we go to a parade in the suburb we lived before here. H's aunt lives there and we always park at her house and walk to the parade with her. H hates parades and complained every year. I was a band geek so I loved parades. Last night H asked if we were going to the parade. D15 wanted to D10 didn't. H said he would take D15, but then D10 agreed to go. H said he would call this morning to see what was going on. I got a text asking about the parade and I responded I was taking the girls. H then asked if I minded if he went. I did not want him to, but I didn't tell him. Instead I said D10 would like that, to which he thanked me. He met us at the house and I drove to the parade.

When we got home I made lunch but didn't offer any to him. I guess he ate a little and then left. Before he left he did get D10's bike out of the basement and did needed adjustments. The Ds and I pretty much just lounged around the house the rest of the afternoon. D and I did take her bike out for her to ride.

D15 got a text from H late in the afternoon asking what we were doing. She said nothing so I told her to tell him we took the bike out and were getting ready to go to dinner. She told him where and he responded he would probably just get McDs. Then D10 felt guilty.

We went to dinner and had a good time. I left D15 drive for practice and only yelled at her once. She actually did pretty good until she hit our wrought iron gate pulling into our drive. I now have a very ugly passenger side your on my Volvo. I told D she won't be getting a new car that she can have that one to beat up now and I'll get a new one. I actually didn't yell at her and did a pretty good job of keeping my cool. That is a big 180 for me. When we talked to H he thanked me a couple of times for staying calm and not yelling at her.

Ds did tell me today where H has been staying for now. They also know that he has plans to move from there and into a friends house when that friend moves out. Neither place is permanent and neither is costing him anything. I find both of those facts odd...just another sign of him not being able to commit to something.

A band geek! What did you play?

It sounds like you had a good day. It is interesting, it seems that he is trying to stay involved, doesn't it. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it, just keep observing!

Jeff, I played the french horn and mellophone(looks like an overgrown trumpet).

BBJ, hmm...trumpet, close enough to what I played.

Lola, did you dance with a pole?

Whoa! French horn is a tough one!

I played the baritone, and then trombone! I guess we have a brass trio. Of course "played" is the operative word!
