So, I'm heading off to the dude ranch this morning for three days with the kids feeling content. The past week or so has been interesting. I found something I think I may have lost or misplaced. You see, I have been smiling again. Quite a lot actually. I even had someone at work tell me that they are worried about me because I've started smiling again.
What pray tell is causing the smiles? The thought of the future. Of finding true love. Of possibilities and opportunities. Of not planning, but expecting happiness.
The past few days have be wonderful and full of sunshine here in north Idaho. I've been spending a lot of time basking in the sunshine and enjoying how it makes me feel. It's even managed to warm this bruised heart of mine.
I went out on my boat last night alone but not lonely. I enjoyed the beauty and peace that I found and spent the time just being content. It was a strange, but satifying feeling. Something I hadn't felt in a while.
I know that there are so many great things ahead of me in my life. So many opportunities. I have wonderful children and great friends.
I also know I'll someday hold my princess in my arms, look deeply into her eyes and see true love.
