Well, you know I don't think that is a bad thing that you had to tell her. It gives her a little bit of time to absorb it all and a bit of mental preparation. If she doesn't get it and plans to work from another office just say that you think it would be a really good idea if she works from that office today (laughingly!). Hopefully her colleagues will pitch in and help you out a bit!
I know you won't but don't plan on the French Quarter, think of it more as an added bonus if it happens :-)
