Good point, dont 'over think' it, you guys are back in touch and likely to remain in touch casually I think for now? You need to check in with him as you only have a few weeks to find out if he will be in NY..but then, you could go there and contact him a day or two beforehand, if hes in town, I am sure he will be happy to hook up...if he's out of town, you wont be able to. I dont suppose that if you warn him sooner, he will think 'I wont go out of town now, as T is coming', that would be too much to expect I guess. So, as long as you contact him at some point and as long as he is not away then... I guess you will see him again!
