You know, I was thinking before that maybe you should send a text. It could be more casual than an email. Just a hi, just wondering how you are doing text. Men don't read as much into communication generally as us women do so he probably wouldn't see that as unusual. I think you want to make it seem like you haven't really thought about it or made an effort and asking him to check his email may put him off.
God, I agonise over everything as you know! So I understand how you are feeling. It is so hard when you are doing these things 'blind' as it were.
Hope you had a good day Jx P.S - I'm with OD, a halter neck is the most flattering swimsuit for ladies with boobs, also pretty good support too :-) I have one pretty similar to the link OD sent. Although mine plunges a bit more - you got to make the most of these things ;-)
I like the idea of a text, but maybe not to say 'check your mail'. Maybe instead you could just say that you were thinking about *something that happened in NYC* and were reminded of him so you thought you'd just say hello and you hope camp is going well?
I'm glad you liked the Bravissimo site- it's a real cult for melon girls over here. Everyone wants to be one!! You'd look AWESOME in a halter-neck T! Men would end up throwing their pants at you while you were swimming so that you wouldn't be able to see where you were going and would end up swimming in circles with a stack of boxers being pushed along by your head!
Oh, it warms the cockles of my heart to hear from ye!!!! I am sorry I haven't been posting to your threads... I promise I will catch up soon!!!!
Hm, are halternecks good for actually swimming, or just lounging on the beach looking gorgeous while drinking a fruity mocktail??? I have lots of halter dresses, notably the outfit that I wore to B's concert, so I am already a fan, just wondering about MOBILITY ISSUES.
J, I am glad I am not the only one not sure how to spell that bird name. Thanks for the link to your bag it is super cute! You guys are going to turn me on to all the UK brands and everyone here will ask, "WHERE did you get that hot bag/hot swimsuit/dress that accentuates your gorgeous melons???" !!
OD, I showed the bravissimo site to a friend today and she got SO excited!!!!! I will be sure to share it with other beloved friends blessed with magnificent melons!
Well... good news from today is that I went to the university gym for the first time since I left to go to class with my beloved aerobics teacher. I thought I would have to pay for a summer membership, but for some reason, I was already registered as a member even though I'm not taking summer classes??? HOORAY!!
OK, so now we're talking about a text. I feel like I'm back to the drawing board!! Hm, something about NYC... It might be a bit of bullsh!t as it were.
how about:
"Hey B! I biked past a strip club on the way to yoga class here in ATL and thought of our walk to Junior's cheesecake. [that was when he said, "we could just eat dessert there {at the strip club}" and I said, "too bad I didn't bring my socks!"] Hope you are having so much fun at camp! TTTT"
LOL!!!! I'm only kinda serious here guys. Hmmm.. Doesn't really invite a response, however?? And it's a bit disingenuous... oh, how ridiculous it is to pretend that something reminded me of him, when I am thinking about him ALL THE FRIGGIN DAY LONG.
OR, I actually did just read an article in the new yorker magazine about his favorite choreographer, Mark Morris. B actually got to play for Mark Morris's dance group a couple times... the article was about MM choreographing a new romeo & juliet ballet. NOT THE BEST NEUTRAL TOPIC HOWEVER, GIVEN THE SUBJECT MATTER. I could try something like,
"Hey B, just finished an article about MM choreographing a new ballet and thought of you. [possibly insert hilarious quote from article]. Hope you are having so much at camp!"
However, that option would involve a direct reference to shared experiences from the past, which I have been trying to studiously avoid at all costs... but that was a shared experience when things were going really well. (When B was still in Boston he got invited to go to NYC to sub in the orchestra pit for MM's group. I took the bus down to NYC and got tickets really close to the stage, and during the first piece when B wasn't playing he sat next to me and we both cried b/c the dance was sooo beautiful. Afterwards we stayed the night at this awesome brownstone bed & breakfast run by a family friend, and took a bath and drank tea together... it was awesome. *SIGH*. HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL TAKE A BATH WITH ME SOMETIME IN THE NEXT DECADE OR TWO.)
I like the MM text. I like that it's real, you did read the article.. I also like that there is a possibility that your mentioning MM may remind him of a good time in your past. I don't think it's pressure. I think it would make sense that you'd think of him after reading the article!!
I'm so envious of you girls and your melons!!!!!!!!!!!
Since I'm melonless I don't know if I should comment on the halter.. but I wouldn't think they are practical for someone givin' 'er in the pool. Although sitting on the beach with a pina colada you'd look fab!
Halter for me too. My melons need all the support they can get lately ...I go with VS. Or Benetton swimmsuits. For some reason they work for my body...
Send the TX. Words don't matter to him that much. We are too concious about details. They are not to this extent. Communication is the goal. Love K
Hi T! Good point, dont 'over think' it, you guys are back in touch and likely to remain in touch casually I think for now? You need to check in with him as you only have a few weeks to find out if he will be in NY..but then, you could go there and contact him a day or two beforehand, if hes in town, I am sure he will be happy to hook up...if he's out of town, you wont be able to. I dont suppose that if you warn him sooner, he will think 'I wont go out of town now, as T is coming', that would be too much to expect I guess. So, as long as you contact him at some point and as long as he is not away then... I guess you will see him again!
Comprende, my melontastic halternecked beret wearing fluff booted fabulous one?

So, I think, go with the ballet text. I don't think there's anything wrong with mentioning something that you remember as being super-fun from the past. You're not doing it in a pressuring way at all, but starting some communication. I agree with the others- don't overthink it!
Halternecks are great for swimming in, and looking hot when you come out at the other end. What more could a melon-girl want? I'm so happy that you and your friend loved Bravissimo! Their stuff is so fabulously awesome- very TTTTTTTTransformer!!
I've been thinking and when my h comes to do up the house I am going to have cookies baking in the oven. This is a huge 180 for me as I don't bake and am not really a good wife in terms of cooking/ cleaning etc. So, I thought I would be a bit of a Stepford wife As you make such WONDERFUL muffins (as sampled the other night) I wondered if you had any good cookie recipes that I could practise with so he doesn't come round to charred horribleness Also, I thought it would help ease the pain of having to do DIY! Don't worry if you haven't, it's just cookies are more an American thing and my cookbooks (who am I kidding cookbook singular!) don't have any.
Have you sent the text yet? I've had a thought? Don't worry if you have as it is pretty inconsequential.
Hope you're ok and had a good 4th July ((((Transformer))))
