I've got oldtimer's!

I don't think it was a big deal then, either. But, that was a while ago!

Do you have a song? Is she sentimental at all?

Yes. She is. There is no "romantic" thing that I can think that she has ever gone for. She's not "normal"!

You obviously did something right before though!

I suspect her lack of sentimentality is mostly a defense mechanism, a wall, rather than her true aspect.

She obviously liked the letters you wrote her!

As far as the letters go...

That's true. But the letters were really not romantic, or
anything like that. They were more narratives of what was going on day-to-day.

I'm really not sure she has ever been sentimental. Even with the kids, I don't feel it. I will think some more, though!

We were cheap. There wasn't any music at the reception!

None? Wow! That is such a bummer. No sentimentality? Trust me Jeff, there is no woman alive who is not a sentimental sap. I've even known some pretty butch dykes who tear up when certain songs come on.

What did you do to woo her when you were dating? What were the things you did that no one else had ever done for her before that got her thinking, "That Jeff. Now, he's a keeper. I'm going to give him my heart and hope for the best."?

Well, of course I can only guess.

I paid attention to her, I listened to her. I treated her with respect (I get the feeling that there was at least one that didn't.) I got along with her parents. And, I think I gave her a way out of her parents house. You know, I don't think it was romantic, looking back. It was practical. Ick.
