Thank you ((((((((all)))))))!

My poor old doggie had a surgery and yesterday I picked her up from the vet. She is doing fine and recovering very well (she is 13, I'm very proud of her).

I was busy with her all day long and felt a bit blue (decided to spare you this time \:\) ).

Later in the evening I've decided to call H and ask him how is he doing. I knew that he went to N's funeral and was a bit worried that he'd start drinking again. I was calling and calling and he wasn't there, and in no time I was in a panick mode again. I was so sure that he started drinking and then went to OW for consolation.
Took my dog for a short walk (she's a good sport and wanted to go out, even though she's still in pain) and came back just in time for H's call! By then I was in tears again. Given N's funeral and our doggie's surgery it was not totally unexpected and H didn't comment on it. We had a very nice convo, remembering N and old days. He was the first one we paid visit to "as a married couple"
H was very tired, so he said: good bye, I'll call you tomorrow \:\) )!
He called a while ago and once again it was very nice. We spoke mostly about his new job and new projects. No R talk at all. He sounded good and it felt very much like old (pre-bomb) days.

To be continued ;\)

I was lurking on the Newcomers today - and look what I found!

an extract from the article:

"There are women who, by nature romantics, don't quite want to escape their own life and die for love. Instead they'd rather have some guy wreck his life for them. These women have been so recently betrayed by unfaithful men that the wound is still raw and they are out for revenge. A woman who angrily pursues married men is a "spider woman" — she requires human sacrifice to restore her sense of power.

When she is sucking the blood from other people's marriages, she feels some relief from the pain of having her own marriage betrayed. She simply requires that a man love her enough to sacrifice his life for her. She may be particularly attracted to happy marriages, clearly envious of the woman whose husband is faithful and loving to her. Sometimes it isn't clear whether she wants to replace the happy wife or just make her miserable."

OMG! That's her! That's my Spider!

Now the que is: how to resist the INSANE temptation to send it to H?!! Even though I KNOW that he'd probably dismiss it at once as NOT TRUE?
Is there someone out there, who would whack me over the head with 2x4, pls?

Stella--

*WHACK* (swung from the left)
*WHACK* (swung from the right)

I wanted to make sure I got both sides of your brain! You KNOW that that is not going to work and that it will blow up in your face. You are almost there stella--the prize is in sight. Your marriage WILL be restored. Be still and rest in the comfort of God while he finishes working on your husband for you.

You should have accepted my offer to let me "squash" her with my heel a month ago or so... Now, just let her die of her own poison. It's only a matter of time...

Hi Stella, first of all sorry about your dog I hope she's well soon.

I hope you didn't send that to your H! You're doing so well just a little longer...

Hope you listened to your people! you will have time to show him that stuff someday-- just before you whack him with your cane when you're in your 90's!

You don't ever want him to come to her defense or justify his <gag> (OLD,PAST,GONE!!!) feelings for the viper, even to himself. That just reinforces the wrong thing. I vote you let Kalni squish her with her shoe.

Glad your dog is feeling better! I know how hard it is to have to console each other long distance. It physically hurts. Just hang in there you sweet soul... I'm reading your sitch too and seeing sooo many similarities.

Talk to you soon.

Oh, I did! I definitely had my senses whacked back into me \:D !

You, girls, are the best!

My dog is doing great, she was RUNNING today! She's still a puppy at heart, even though she's such a tough old girl.

((((((HUGS)))))) everyone

(I'm afraid I'm the huggiest person on this board )

Glad to hear your dog is doing much better. I'm proud of you for resisting the impulse to send that to H. Way to go!!! That spider woman can never live up to the caring, loving, patient Stella. Your H sees that.

Wow, I think I got a sliver picking a piece of 2x4 on your thread!!!!!

You are well loved here Stella. Hang in there hun!

You've made it through to the other side.. as we've been warned by many people in piecing "piecing is tougher than DBing".. so just take it a day at a time!

You did great by coming here and telling your friends what you'd like to do.. it gave everyone the chance to talk you out of it!!!!

You are an amazing human being... she is an ugly insect. In the end you will step on her and be completely unaware... as you'll be looking in the eyes of your loving husband!

Hugs,
W2G
