I didn't realise that was when he came back from camp. I think 6 weeks is too long, I was thinking it was about two. In that case my view is you should initiate some contact but don't mention meeting up or anything. Just put some test feelers out there. See if he suggests a meet up.
I have just had my dinner but I always save a space in my dessert stomach so I'd love to split the muffin please :-)
