I am tempted to wait till he returns from camp. It may be that he is focused on things there and may not be able to focus on you. Also you can ask him how it was in your email.
You could also just send a short text, not going into too much stuff asking how it went. Kind of available but not available... I don't know, he kind of popped up randomly in your life again, I'm tempted to make it look the same way.
It's a difficult one! What are your instincts saying? It's so difficult to know because you had really positive interaction, should you build on that or let time pass for him to have some musings and thinkings about you. Afterall you popped into his mind after 5 months, who is to say you won't again.
