Ali,

Thanks for your thoughts!!!

I feel like the message itself is in good shape, but you raise good questions about the medium and the timing.

It's been two weeks now. I do believe he has internet access because I've seen him a few times popping up on my gmail list of contacts who are online, but it's way less frequent than usual, so he may not have consistent internet or something. Maybe he has to use the music camp office's computer when they're not busy??? Complete speculation ehre. I can certainly relate to not getting back to people when you're in a bubble, I've been very reclusive and not returning friends' voicemails very consistently while traveling the past 6 weeks. So to send him an email when I'm not sure he has consistent internet and may be feeling reclusive himself may be setting myself up to be confused, if he doesn't respond for reasons that have nothing to do with me.

My goal is to try to see him in August, which will involve figuring out whether or not HE will be there in August, and when, which will involve trying to talk to him at some point before August 6th, when both our camps/festivals are over! that is 6 weeks away.

The other goal is to continue to try to grow the friendship and keep the momentum of that. So I am trying to choose the best move to do that!

Normally my philosophy would be to wait forever until he did something. But now I am wondering!!

Also, I've noticed that he responds way faster to texts and phonecalls as opposed to emails. If we decide not to contact him by email because of his internet access/vacation state of mind, which would be better?

I'm glad to help you too!!!
