If they (Hs) were not able to shape up and fight for us when we gave them a chance and were with us there isn't much we can expect from them at this point (stranger things have happened but rarely). I pray and have faith that it will be for the best, this step you are taking, the constant deception is a big red flag that he isn't willing/able to come through for you nor himself for that matter, he has a long way to go to be a decent human being at this point.
