I get golf but it is just too boring for me.

I love baseball but only at the park, not on TV. It drags too much on TV. I do watch when it gets into the pennant races though depending on the team. I've been a lifelong Angels fan but since that idot bought the team and insisted on renaming them the Los Angeles Angels (which just makes me GAG!) I have almost stopped watching them in protest.

Now American football.......THAT IS MY PASSION! High school, college, pro, even arena. They're all great! If women could get anywhere in football then I would have played. I am so passionate about football that my H listed it as one of the reasons our M came apart. He's not a sports fan of any kind and I yell and scream and jump up and down at the TV watching my games and scream myself hoarse at live games. I seriously think I need to start hanging out in sports bars when my favorite teams are playing. That may be where I find the next R to pursue. If not for romance, then at least for a sports buddy!

Jeff buddy, how do you feel about football?

LMAO Sounds like a plan Mishka! ;\)

Sports on TV in general are not as much fun as watching them live IMHO.

If I had to pick a sport to watch it would have to be baseball at the park. Mishka is right, you have to be there. Love the Indians, but like all Cleveland teams, you have to expect them to come up short every year.

I played football in college. OK, so it was my sororities flag team in a sorority league, but it was fun.

(((((Michelles, hottie, Ali)))))

I used to really like football. Not as much anymore, I think maybe because with free agency the teams don't keep their personality. And a lot of the players seem to be pretty unlikable. I will still watch though, especially as playoff time comes near!

I didn't post about it last night, W came home from work and managed to get into a pretty snitty mood really fast. The fridge isn't working right again, last time it seemed to fix itself. So, I said I was out of ideas, and that we might want to call someone. And I said that it might make sense for her to do it, since she is home more during the week. She decided that meant that I was trying to shove the problem off on her, and that I said that I work more than she does. I said, that I had said no such thing. S18 was there, and said, "Mom, he didn't say that at all!" About that time she went into a huff, said she didn't need to listen to that, and that she was going to her room. Then she and S18 got into more of an argument for at least another half hour, I don't even know what about. He won't take her crap, even when she is right. (I don't know in this case.) I guess he isn't very worried that she will de-mom him!

Anyway, after times like last night, I'm much closer to asking her if she'd like help finding a place to live than if she wants to work on the M. Yuck!

Thanks for listening!

It's raining here now, hopefully it doesn't make its way to the other side of town! Seeing as we have lawn "seats"!

Hope your concert didn't get rained out.

Your W has a serious chip on her shoulder about work doesn't she. Work is work whether it's in the house or out of it.

I assume that you have picked up some of the housework and running kids around since she went back to work, right? Is there anything else going on at home that you could take on the responsibility of? I'm just saying, it sounds like she feels unappreciated.

How often do you tell her how much you appreciate something in particular she did?

I'm not trying to be critical because I don't know what goes on in your house but hoping to give you a nudge.

You sound really frustrated Jeff. I'm sorry. \:\(

Ugh. (((Jeff))) She really does feel unappreciated for some reason. It boggles my mind that she could take your comment so personally (I read it to mean since she works "odd" hours and she would be most likely to be home when the guy could come that she should call since she knows her own schedule) but then again, WASs have a knack for that.

I hope the rain passes by before the concert!

To me, it seems that she just has a serious chip on her shoulder. If I say anything, she will twist it around to be the worst it can be. That's one reason I hardly talk to her anymore. About anything. I haven't told her that I appreciate anything she does in a while. She doesn't accept it well, even when it's given with good intentions. (See above.)

She is physically at home several days during the week, because she works 12 hours shifts, and usually works one, if not two, on the weekend. It's just the fact! It doesn't mean she works less, just that she is more likely to be here when a repair person could come. But, she had to turn it into something else.

There's a reason I sound frustrated!

You probably wouldn't have to talk very much to convince me to chuck the whole thing. Fortunately, I'll probably be better in a day or two.
