Did you see that I played Colonial Country club the other day. It is where they used to play the St. Jude classic on the tour.
The course was amazing, absolutely breathtaking views on just about every hole.
I did not play great, was hooking everything which is not like me at all. I generally play a fade..not that day. I got to 18, hit a tree with my drive, second shot in the left rough on a par 5, 245 yards from the hole. Green and flag are tucked behind a lake. I looked at my boss, said what the hell I am going for it. Took out my 4 iron, played a draw, landed the ball 5 feet from the pin..... That is why I keep playing...one shot in 18 holes that makes it all worth while......
Much like our situations my friend, that one shot, that one thing we do correct, that one time we feel like we hit the best shot of our lives in our situation, that is why we stay and play........It makes all the mishits seem unimportant.....
Understand?
Ian
I saw that and was a little envious. That one shot always keeps us going/coming back I do agree.
Do I understand??
You still see me teeing it up don't you??
You still see me here..
I'm still playing. The coarse I'm playing isn't very scenic right now. The playing partner I have is not very fun and in a chitty mood. I've got a good caddy though..
If I could find the cart girl and a cold beer it would be good.
Other than that I'm OK..I'm still swinging and most of the time keeping it in play..When I hit one out I just take my penalty and re-tee another.
