Like Puppy said, if she shows no or little interest, no use to pursue it. Once I let MIL know the truth, I was hoping for more action on her part. You know, be a mother and give good advice. Hoping she would be unsupportive of her actions. Especially the A. She has just kind of let if go. She told me recently, "You can't make her stay."

It sounds like your W does want to talk. Not sure what to tell you. I would be tempted. I think others would advise against any R talks at this point.
